HLR is run entirely by volunteers, on a not for profit basis. That means that none of us make any money from HLR. On the contrary, we think that running HLR is likely to cost us between £3-3.5k in 2021/22. So, in February 2021 we launched our appeal to raise funds. We’ve been blown away by the response from our listeners, sponsors, supporters and friends. We’d like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has contributed. They include:-
Ruby’s Plaice has been our station sponsor since the beginning and we’re delighted to be working with Raj and Ruby once again in 2021/22.
Thank you Raj and Ruby!
Working with Rev Captain Chris Harrington has been such a pleasure and HLR is delighted to be able to continue supporting our friends at St Andrew’s Church and The Heckington & Helpringham Group of Parishes in 2021/22.
Thank you to everyone across the group of parishes for your amazing contribution to our appeal.
Tom Brown, son of station founder Andy Mellett Brown, tragically passed away at the beginning of February 2021. Andy works for The Care Quality Commission and, while he was away from work, his friends and colleagues at CQC collected a considerable sum and in April, donated it to HLR in Tom’s memory.
Andy, Patricia, Harry and family, and the HLR team would like to thank everyone at CQC for their kindness and generosity. You are amazing.
We think HLR has the most loyal and supportive listeners on the planet. During every live show you’ll find them in the HLR Live Lounge. Their contributions to the HLR Appeal have been amazing. We really couldn’t run HLR without you.
Thank you to ALL our wonderful Live Loungers. We love you.
Within weeks of launching our appeal on GoFundMe, we’d raised over £1000. Many of these donations were anonymous. Whether large or small, every one of these donations will help HLR to keep us all connected in 2021/22.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the appeal. You have all made a massive difference.
